Hair Color

Black

Black hair looks great with black and dark tortoise frames but black hair also provides a strong counterpoint to saturated brights such as teal and Raspberry.

Frame Color Recommendations

 Black, tortoise, brown, cool teal blues and olive. Avoid pale colors.

Brown

Warm browns tend to be darker shades with more auburn and red tones. Cool brunettes are usually lighter in shade and have ash undertones.

 Warm browns - Lighter tortoise shades that have warm undertones warm greens, shades of red.

Cool browns - Black, pink, blue, and dark tortoise

Red

The inherent vibrance of red hair makes it an ideal partner for strong frame colors.

 Rich tortoise, black, green & warm neutrals like bone. Avoid ashy and yellowy tones that will undermine redheads.

Blonde

Blonde Hair with warm undertones have honey and bronze tones in their hair, and are generally slightly darker. Cool blondes have ashy undertones and lean toward the platinum end of the spectrum.

 Warm undertones - Warm colors including tortoise, and peach shades.

Cool undertones: Black, navy, tortoise and pink tones. Avoid colors with strong yellow or gold undertones.

Grey/White

All tones of grey hair provide an excellent chance to wear clean and bright colors.

 Black, navy, and Red. Soft tones such as pink, purple & gold also work.
